<p>METHA CRUSE CANETE is a 40-year-old Filipina who is single and currently in a common-law relationship. Although they do not have children of their own, she has devoted much of her professional life to caring for others. She is a resident of Talamban, Cebu, and is the third among eight sisters. She was raised in a close-knit and hardworking family, where her 70-year-old father earns a living through farming and piggery, while her 64-year-old mother is a homemaker.</p><p>Metha completed her secondary education at San Isidore Academy in 2003. Determined to further her education, she pursued a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Bohol Institute of Technology International College and successfully graduated in 2012. Recognizing her passion for caregiving and healthcare, she later completed a Caregiving Course and earned her certification in 2022. To further enhance her qualifications, she also underwent Japanese Language Training and completed an Advanced Nursing Course, equipping her with additional skills that are highly valuable in caregiving and elderly care.</p><p>Prior to entering the caregiving field, Metha gained experience in other industries. From 2013 to 2016, she worked as a Pharmacy Assistant, where she developed knowledge in medication handling, customer service, and healthcare-related support. She later worked in Japan as a Laundry Worker from 2017 to 2018, gaining valuable experience in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and discipline while adapting to a foreign work environment.</p><p>Currently, Metha works as an on-call caregiver while awaiting selection for employment opportunities in Singapore. Her extensive caregiving experience has enabled her to develop strong skills in patient care, compassion, and professionalism.</p><p><strong>From 2019 to 2022, she worked as a caregiver in a nursing care facility in the Philippines</strong>. During this period, she was assigned to various patients with different medical conditions, including cancer, dementia, and diabetes. Her responsibilities included assisting patients with their daily activities, transporting them for laboratory procedures, accompanying them to medical appointments, bathing, grooming, feeding, administering medications, injecting insulin when required, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring their overall comfort and well-being. This experience provided her with broad exposure to different caregiving situations and strengthened her ability to care for patients with varying needs.</p><p><strong>From 2022 to 2023,</strong> she worked as a stay-out caregiver for an 83-year-old male elderly patient who was diabetic and visually impaired. She focused on assisting him with his daily routines, including feeding, bathing, administering medications, providing mobility assistance, and ensuring his safety and comfort throughout the day. Her patience and attentiveness allowed her to provide quality care and companionship to the elderly gentleman.</p><p>Metha further expanded her caregiving experience when she worked in <strong>Singapore from October 2023 to October 2025</strong>. She was employed by a Chinese family residing in a four-storey, five-bedroom landed property. The household consisted of five adults and an elderly male aged over 80 years old who had suffered a stroke and was diagnosed with dementia. The family employed three helpers, and Metha's primary responsibility was the exclusive care of the elderly patient. Her duties included assisting with personal hygiene, bathing, feeding, grooming, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and attending to all of his daily care needs. Following the elder's passing in 2024, the family retained her services, and she continued working for them by assisting with general household chores and maintaining the household until she successfully completed her contract in October 2025.</p><p>Metha is confident in preparing Filipino dishes and simple Chinese cuisine. She can easily follow recipes and is enthusiastic about learning new cooking styles and international dishes according to her employer's preferences. Although she does not have formal work experience in childcare, she is open and willing to care for children if given the opportunity. Her nurturing personality, caregiving background, patience, and sense of responsibility make her capable of learning and adapting to childcare duties.</p><p>In addition to caregiving and household management, she is also capable of performing gardening, pet care, and car washing when required. Her versatility, willingness to learn, and positive attitude enable her to contribute effectively to various household needs.</p><p>Metha is seeking overseas employment to further develop her career, support her family, and secure a stable future. With her educational background, professional caregiving experience, healthcare training, and overseas work exposure, she is well-equipped to serve as a dependable caregiver and household helper. Her employment history is supported by records from the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and is available for verification by prospective employers. She is confident that her dedication, compassion, and strong work ethic will make her a valuable addition to any household.</p>
