MAY SALABIA BUENDIA is a 40-year-old Filipino, currently in a common-law relationship and a devoted mother of four children, aged 19, 15, 11, and 8. She is a resident of Ajuy, Iloilo. She is the youngest among four siblings, having one brother and two sisters. Her 71-year-old father is a retired laborer, while her 68-year-old mother is a homemaker.

She completed her secondary education at Ajuy National High School in 2003. She later pursued a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture but was only able to finish her first year due to financial constraints faced by her family. In 2007, she gave birth to her first child and devoted herself to being a hands-on mother, gaining valuable experience in childcare and household management. In 2024, she completed a Caregiving course and obtained her Caregiving Certificate, further enhancing her knowledge and skills in providing quality care to patients and the elderly.

Since 2024 till Present, May has been working as a CAREGIVER under an agency and is assigned to various hospitals. In this role, she has cared for patients with different medical conditions, including those recovering from hip and open-heart surgeries, patients requiring PEG feeding, dialysis patients, bedridden individuals, and patients with bipolar disorder, among others. Her duties include assisting with activities of daily living, such as grooming, feeding, monitoring vital signs, and carrying out other responsibilities as instructed by the attending nurses. Through this experience, she has developed compassion, patience, and competence in providing quality care to patients with varying healthcare needs.

May also has valuable overseas domestic work experience.

DUBAI From 2019 to 2020, she worked for an Emirati family living in a five-bedroom, two-storey house consisting of a couple and their three children, aged 6, 3, and a newborn. The household employed three domestic helpers, and her primary responsibility was caring for the newborn baby while also assisting with general household chores.

SAUDI ARABIA From 2021 to 2023, she worked  for an Arab family residing in a three-bedroom, two-storey house with a couple and their three children, aged 10, 5, and a newborn. As the sole household helper, she was responsible for childcare, cleaning, laundry, ironing, and maintaining the household. She also assisted her employer in preparing meals whenever needed.

Being a mother of four and having extensive experience caring for infants and young children, May is confident in handling newborns through school-aged children. She is knowledgeable in feeding, bathing, grooming, changing diapers, preparing children's meals, playing with them, and ensuring their overall safety and well-being. Her natural maternal instincts, combined with her professional experience, make her well-suited for childcare responsibilities.

She is also confident in cooking Filipino dishes and is eager to learn other cuisines by following recipes and her employer's instructions. In addition, she is willing to perform other household duties such as pet care, gardening, and other tasks assigned by her employer.

May is hardworking, responsible, patient, and adaptable. Her combined experience as a caregiver, overseas domestic helper, and mother has equipped her with the skills and dedication needed to become a reliable domestic worker and caregiver. She is eager to work abroad again to provide a better future for her children and to help improve her family's financial stability.

Upon selection, May Salabia Buendia will undergo a one-week In-House Private Training in Manila accredited by TESDA, followed by the mandatory OWWA seminar prior to the processing of her Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) for deployment.
