JULIE-ANN BALANAG
Self Introduction
“JULIE-ANNE BALANAG is a 30-year-old woman from Sison, Pangasinan who lives with her common-law partner. They have been together since 2012 and are blessed with two children, now aged 12 and 11. Since becoming a mother, Julie-Anne has been a hands-on parent, personally attending to her children’s daily needs and guiding them as they grew. Her experience in raising her own children has strengthened her nurturing nature and deepened her commitment to providing them with a better future.
She is the only daughter in a family of five children, with four brothers. She was raised in a hardworking household where her 52-year-old father works as a welder and her 54-year-old mother is currently employed as a domestic worker in Singapore. Inspired by her mother’s dedication and sacrifice, Julie-Anne is motivated to follow the same path in order to support her own family.
Julie-Anne completed her secondary education at Esperanza Integrated School in 2011. In 2025, she completed a caregiving course and earned her certification, further strengthening her skills and knowledge in elderly care and patient support.
Her work experience reflects a strong background in both caregiving and household management. From 2010 to 2011, she served as SK Chairman, where she developed leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
From October 2022 to November 2023, she worked as a cleaner in a transient house, gaining valuable experience in maintaining cleanliness and order.
From December 2023 to June 2024, she worked for a Filipino elderly couple in their 70s living in a three-bedroom, two-storey house. She served as both an all-around helper and caregiver for the female employer, who had diabetes. Her duties included assisting with daily care, housekeeping, laundry and ironing, marketing, and cooking.
From April 2025 to August 2025, Julie-Anne worked as a nursing assistant in a hospital, primarily assigned to the female ward with a patient ratio of approximately 1:30. She cared for patients with pulmonary diseases, stroke, and bedridden conditions. During her assignment in the Intensive Care Unit, she gained hands-on experience in nasogastric tube (NGT) feeding. Her responsibilities included monitoring vital signs, assisting with medication administration, feeding, repositioning patients to prevent bedsores, and carrying out instructions from nurses and doctors.
Julie-Anne also has extensive elderly care experience in private household locally.
From October 2025 to present, she has been working for another Filipino family living in a two-room bungalow house composed of a 74-year-old male, a 64-year-old female with hypertension, and a 15-year-old child. She provides direct care to the female employer by assisting with her daily needs while also managing household responsibilities.
Currently, Julie-Anne continues to work as a full-time caregiver while waiting for the result of her application for Singapore.
Because of her caregiving training, hospital experience, and private elderly care work, Julie-Anne’s preferred role is to care for elderly individuals. She finds fulfillment in assisting seniors with their daily needs and ensuring their comfort and well-being. However, as a mother of two, she is also highly capable and eager to care for infants and young children if given the opportunity. She is confident in feeding, bathing, grooming, and engaging children in safe and meaningful activities.
Julie-Anne is also skilled in cooking Filipino dishes and enjoys learning new recipes and cuisines. She can follow recipes easily and adapt to her employer’s preferences. In addition to elderly care and childcare, she is capable of performing housekeeping, laundry, ironing, car washing, pet care, and gardening.
Julie-Anne is compassionate, patient, and hardworking. She is committed to providing quality care and dedicated service to her future employer.
Upon selection, Julie-Anne will undergo a one-week in-house private training in Manila accredited by TESDA, followed by an OWWA seminar, before processing her Overseas Employment Certificate for deployment.
With her certified caregiving background, hospital experience, strong preference for elderly care, and willingness to care for children when needed, Julie-Anne Balanag is well-qualified and highly motivated to work overseas as a caregiver or domestic helper.
