To enhance her caregiving skills, Darelyn served as a Volunteer Nursing Assistant at Jesus Nazarene Hospital, where she gained valuable experience caring for patients with various medical conditions, including stroke, dialysis, and post-cesarean cases. Currently, she is focused on her application to work overseas as a caregiver.

Her caregiving employment experience is as follows:

PHILIPPINES (2023 – 2024)

She was employed as a live-in caregiver by a Filipino-Chinese family to care for an 87-year-old male stroke patient. Her primary responsibilities included assisting him with his daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility assistance. She also monitored his vital signs, ensured he took his medications as prescribed, accompanied him to medical appointments when needed, and maintained a safe and clean environment. Through this experience, she developed patience, compassion, and the skills necessary to provide quality care for an elderly patient with special needs.

Philippines  (December 2024 – June 2025)

She was a live-in caregiver of a Filipino-Chinese family living in a two-storey house to care for a 7-year-old boy diagnosed with cerebral palsy who was bedridden. Her daily duties included feeding, bathing and grooming, assisting with mobility, accompanying him to therapy sessions and medical appointments, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of his room. Through this experience, she developed patience, compassion, and a strong sense of responsibility in providing quality care to a child with special needs.

Darelyn is confident in preparing Filipino dishes and can easily follow recipes. She is eager to learn how to cook other cuisines according to her future employer's preferences. Although she has no formal experience as a domestic helper, she is hardworking, adaptable, and willing to perform household chores, including cleaning, laundry, ironing, and other tasks assigned by her employer.

Upon selection, Darelyn will undergo a one-week In-House Private Training in Manila at a TESDA-accredited training center, followed by the mandatory OWWA Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS) before the processing of her Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) for deployment.

Darelyn is a dedicated, compassionate, and responsible caregiver who is eager to work abroad. She hopes to build a stable future, gain valuable international experience, and provide better opportunities for herself and her family.
